James (Jim) Sickel has been practicing law in Green Bay for over forty years.  Born and raised in Green Bay, he attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he received his BA degree in 1967.  After serving in the Peace Corps and teaching, Jim returned to Marquette University, received his law degree and began practicing law in his home town in 1974.

Jim has practiced in the areas of business law including the organization and operation of corporations and limited liability companies, estate planning, probate and real estate transactions.  He also represents towns and clients in zoning and permitting matters and is an active mediator.

Jim has successfully tried cases in both state and federal court.  He obtained a jury verdict in excess of $3.7 million for a client.  He represents corporations, LLCs and LLPs in their business dealings.

Jim represents local town governments in their matters and has appeared for clients before commissions, boards and municipalities in Northeast Wisconsin.  He has briefed and argued cases before both the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

With over forty years of trial work experience, Jim has been called upon to mediate over one hundred cases in both Federal and State court.  He also assists his clients through Alternate Dispute Resolution to save them time and money in resolving their claims.
